Up until January 24th 2005 we had a database of 1500 children, and we have conducted a thorough evaluation of the need. We can only meet the need of about 1000. Our social workers, together with our community based representatives, found that all these children have lost their parents to HIV/AIDS, and most of them are not in school.

Some of them live on their own without parental covering of any kind, while some live with grandparents. (When the parents of the children die, the burden of raising the orphans often falls on the shoulders of their grandparents who could be too poor to raise the child decently). At least 300 children now have regular monthly support from concerned partners and friends and even as we celebrate this, we are still posed with the challenge of the rest of the children.

Fun Time: Heidi Soyland a volunteer in story time with the kids

This is where you come in to help us help the remaining 700 children. Whenever a financial gift comes in we channel it to help some of the 1000 by providing school fees, books and pencils and other necessities like clothing and material support. We are in need of more people to sponsor children.

Much needed aid: Volunteers handing out clothes to the children

Please stand with us and pray for us as we attempt to show a generation of orphans that there is a God who cares about them and loves them.
$25.00 (USD) per month will send one of these children to school and provide them with food and clothing
